Tony and Melissa bought an old country farm house with all the charm you'd expect from a house like that, but functionally it had some issues. The kitchen, which had been added on, was separated from the rest of the house by an old stone fireplace that no longer worked. We removed the fireplace to connect the kitchen with the dining room. The old stone from the fireplace was reused to shore up the foundation of a barn on the property. The kitchen was completely gutted and updated. New cabinets from Cabinet Designer's still kept the aesthetic of the country home. Black granite countertops were used, slate tile for the floor, glass mosaic tile backsplash, new modern appliances as well as all new plumbing courtesy of Roberto Plumbing and Heating Inc and all new electric courtesy of Ressa Electric. To match the dining room flooring, reclaimed wide plank heart pine was used where the old fireplace was.
