Jenny and Joel, both artists and retiring teachers from NYC, bought a house in Kingston and they both needed studio spaces.
​ For Jenny, there was an old, gutted carriage house from the 1930's in the back of the property. For Phase 1, the first floor was converted into a work space for painting, which involved a new foundation and concrete slab, a fair amount of structural work to update the building and the addition of a bathroom, utility sink and heat.
For Joel, the attic of the house was converted into a workspace, utilizing the geometry of the space with all the roof angles to create an intresting and inspiring environment.
